Show Review: Linkin Park @ The Palace Of Auburn Hills, MI. 08/21/2012

Tuesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills found me surrounded by thousands of Linkin Park fans ready to unleash a wall of pent up energy, pump their fists in the air, and scream out all angst, rage and passion built up in their daily lives. Playing to a mostly packed arena, the band came out strong, no holds barred, with a stage set that sported multiple tiered platforms, blazing pillars of flame, dazzling pyrotechnic displays backed by a huge video wall that continuously showed live shots of the crowd and band as they played an extensive set from their library. The fans needed no prompting to get in to the show, they were ready to go from the moment the lights dimmed and the first notes blared forth from the speakers. Playing with a ferocity and fervor, Linkin Park delivered a commanding show and the crowd followed note for note, verse for verse, non-stop in to the night. I have to admit though I had never seen the band live in person before, I was blown away by the quality of the production they put on. Bringing out every trick in the concert book short of biting off a bats heads, the band emphatically delivered a world class act of rock and roll for the evening, what everyone needs to enjoy from time to time.
