MCB is GIVING AWAY A PAIR OF TICKETS to the 9th Annual Hoxeyville Music Festival!. One lucky MCB reader will receive two tickets (a $300 VALUE!) to Michigan’s premier homegrown music and camping festival taking place August 19-21. Hoxeyville boasts 2 stages of national touring artists as well the best and brightest talent from around our beautiful state! Featuring Umphrey’s McGee, Mickey Hart Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Todd Snider, Great American Taxi, the Macpodz, ekoostik hookah, the Ragbirds, Breathe Owl Breathe, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Seth Bernard and May Erlewine, and so many more amazing artists, with an intimate capacity of 5,000 and this amazing lineup, 2011 is not to be missed!

Not thrilled about leaving your toddler in the care of your shady neighbor slacker brother-in-law> parents while you go camping? Hoxeyville is family-friendly, and admission for kids 12 and under is FREE with parent or guardian. Nestled in the Manistee National Forest, Hoxeyville is a testament to pure north country peace and hootenanny.

Right next door is a modern campground with full amenities, including a swimming pool, showers, plug-ins, dump station and wireless Internet.
Hoxeyville has its own pro-designed Disc Golf Course and nearby are mountain biking trails, and rivers and streams for fishing and paddle sports. Kestelwoods restaurant, party store and campground is a convenient 5 minute walk from the festival grounds.

2011 HOXEYVILLE MUSIC FESTIVAL TICKET CONTEST:

To enter, you must:

1. “Like” the Hoxeyville Music Festival Facebook page
(Yes, you must be have a Facebook account to enter – my 87 year old great Aunt is on Facebook – sorry, it’s just part of the deal.)


2. Send an email to benderATmotorcityblog.net with the following information:
   
   • your full legal NAME
   • TELEPHONE NUMBER
   • preferred EMAIL ADDRESS, and
   • ONE SENTENCE telling us the single biggest reason why you’d be excited to go to Hoxeyville (e.g., I’m stoked for Hoxeyville because MCB’s Andrew Bender is going to be there! ***Warning: Using that will result in immediate disqualification).

The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries. Completed entries must be received no later than 11:59 PM EDT on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Winner will be notified on Thursday, August 11, 2011. We reserve the right to share submissions (but not telephone or email info) on the Hoxeyville Festival Facebook page or Motorcityblog.net.
